Flipkart settlement report: every column, the four deductions in every cycle, and the one that is the UTR
Flipkart's per-cycle settlement CSV has one row per order and each deduction in its own column. Four deductions appear in every cycle, the settlement reference number is the UTR your bank prints, and TCS at 0.5% is credit, not a fee.
The shape of the file
One row per order item, one cycle per file. Unlike Amazon's Flat File V2, which has one row per charge, Flipkart gives each deduction its own column, so an order's economics are on one line. The report is generated on request from Seller Hub or through the report API, and it can take minutes to exist; an importer that asks for it and records zero when it is not ready yet has recorded a wrong number, not an empty one.
The columns that matter
| Column | What it is | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Settlement reference number | The UTR of the bank transfer this cycle was paid under | Join it to the NEFT or IMPS id in your bank narration. This is how a payout is matched, not by amount |
| Settlement date | When Flipkart paid the cycle | Expect the bank credit within a working day or two of it |
| Settlement value | What Flipkart paid for the order after every deduction | The figure to reconcile against the order's expected net |
| Marketplace fee (commission) | Category commission on the sale | Check against the rate card for that category; the wrong tier is a claim |
| Fixed fee | Per-order closing fee by price band | Check against the band for the selling price |
| Collection fee | Payment collection charge | Check the percentage and the base |
| Shipping fee | Forward logistics by weight slab and zone | The most common claim: a wrong weight slab or zone |
| Subvention / rebate | Flipkart-funded discount passed through | Positive for you; confirm it matches the offer |
| TCS | GST tax collected at source, 0.5% of net taxable value since 10 July 2024 (1% before) | Recoverable credit: accept the GSTR-8 entries in the GST portal's TDS and TCS credit received statement. Never a fee |
| Return adjustments | Reversals for customer returns and RTO | Match to the return case; an un-credited return that came back saleable is a claim |
Four deductions in every cycle
Commission, TCS, return adjustments and logistics appear in every settlement. A reconciliation that only checks commission against the rate card misses three of the four places money goes, and the logistics column is where weight-slab disputes live, which Flipkart's own claim process is built for.
Reading it against the bank
- Extract the settlement reference number from each cycle and the UTR from each marketplace credit in the bank statement. They are the same string.
- A cycle with no bank credit after the usual lag is a missing payout. That is a ticket to Flipkart, with the reference number, not a mystery.
- Two cycles paid on the same day are routine. Matching by amount pairs them wrongly or leaves both unmatched; matching by UTR cannot.
ezmarketplaces requests the report, retries until Flipkart has generated it, signs every deduction, matches each row to its order and each cycle to the bank credit by UTR, and writes every difference from the expected fee to the Recovery ledger with the source row behind it.
